Children may 'miss the mark' on the bulls-eye but that doesn't mean they don't get to try again. Making mistakes are a part of learning.

Children learn in so many different ways. Making mistakes is an essential way all humans learn. When they make mistakes, it's like missing the bulls-eye on the target. Some times we will miss the mark but we can still try again. Helping children understand that there is 'learning' that takes place in mistakes AND allowing children the opportunity to make these mistakes without feeling ashamed or punished - is truly important and critical for development.

There is more learning in making mistakes then in doing things perfectly. In order to help kids learn and hit the BULLSEYE - it takes time, patience, guidance and connection - not punishment, consequences, time-outs or threats.

To learn more about this and how YOU can improve skills to help stay patient when children 'miss the mark, contact us anytime. This is what we do.
