Snowplow Parenting is a hot topic lately in the news but it's not for a good reason. It's gaining popularity because of the negative effects it's having on children and young adults. This style of parenting is discussed on the popular talk show 'the Lynda Steele show' featured on CKNW 980 in Vancouver. Do you know children who have grown into young adults that aren't demonstrating basic life skills needed to survive in today's world?

Listen to the radio segment here >>>>>
Lynda Steele show on CKNW radio Vancouver talks to parenting expert Julie Romanowski about the impact and negative effects of 'snowplow' parenting which is when parents take over their child's problems and life and sever the opportunity of the child learning on their own and gaining the life skills needed to live and solve problems as young adults, this snowplow style of parenting is having a huge impact on this entire generation and it starts in the early years and the parent/child relationship and how parents help kids learn basic life skills such as hygiene chores saving money cooking your own meals studying and time management, kids need to learn important life skills including how to solve their own problems effectively without their parents getting too involved, celebrities in hollywood who were caught in the college acceptance scam and parents paying for their adult children to get into ivy league schools because the children weren't able to get in on their own merit or be able to demonstrate that they were capable adults with the skills necessary to survive and thrive in school and life.
