Seems like every kid knows exactly what to ASK FOR this holiday already! I'm trying something different and encouraging Parents to help create a 'Christmas List' of GIVING this holiday season with their children which I call "GIVE-GIVING" instead of gift-giving. Sit down one evening and start a discussion with the kids about ways that everyone can GIVE BACK this year. Now this doesn't have to be extreme, especially if it's the first time but there are some simple things we can all do with in our own families and communities that may be small but have a HUGE IMPACT!
IDEAS FOR GIVING BACK TO OTHERS
-reading someone a book,
-sharing a toy,
-donating clothes or food,
-helping a neighbor
-drying the dishes
-saying 'thank you'
-holding hands
-sharing a smile or hug!
