"CONNECT then CORRECT!" - is one of Julie Romanowski's key phrases when it comes to GUIDING a child's behaviour properly.

One of the GREATEST phrases I've created to help Parents, Educators & Teachers remember that in order to 'correct' a child's behaviour, we must be 'connected' to ourselves and then to them first. It's important to remember that we (as the adult) are "growing our hearts as well as growing children" and guiding and caring for them are the key responsibilities we will be faced with every day. It's easier to remember "CONNECT then CORRECT!"TM

Avoid giving lectures, consequences, punishments or other measures that can create a further disconnect between you and the child. Learning how to 'correct' a child's behaviour properly can be one of the greatest forms of strengthening the bond in the child/adult relationship.

If you want to know HOW to 'correct' a child's behaviour or find out why this method is so effective, contact us anytime to discuss further. We can show you WHY and of course, show you HOW. This is what COACHING is all about. You can also get your hands on one of these 'heart' stress balls!!
