Sexual harrassment and assault are in the news a lot these days ranging from celebrities to politicians and even people in our neighbourhoods. Children and teens are asking questions about WHAT sexual harrassment and assault is and WHY do people choose to do such horrible acts. It's important to have discussions with kids about these topics even if you're not sure exactly what to say. Having a solution isn't always necessary (and can relieve a lot of parenting stress).....maybe it's just an answer to a question but keeping the lines of communication open is a great place to start.
