Connecting to children when they are vulnerable helps them improve their own behaviour and make better choices NEXT TIME!
There is no better way to CONNECT to a child then being there for them and supporting them when they are vulnerable. This means when they are sad, upset, angry, ashamed or even embarrassed. When children make mistakes or react inappropriately, it's important to help GUIDE them through these challenging times as well as let them know what to do better NEXT TIME. Very often we are quick to scold, punish or lecture IN THE MOMENT but it is in the PATIENT GUIDANCE & CONNECTION that resonates with children and the place to which they learn, adjust and improve.
